Lacrouzette, Don't miss THE most famous rock around… the "Peyro Clabado", and few meters higher, a nice orientation table implanted on an original granite boulders pyramid. Close too, the lovely shop "Art brut", handmade jewelry and gifts. Don't forget to visit inside, an incredible exhibition of minerals and fossils (free entry !). Have a good snack at the “Vieux chantier”, authentic restaurant. “Notre Dame du Granit” church will amaze you with his unique art work granit walls…
Castres, named "Little Venice"… you could enjoy a little cruise on the river L'Agout on board “le Coche d'eau” boat. Don't miss the Brand new and wonderful GOYA museum. The remarkable, baroque, cathedrale “St-Benoit”. Castres is also the Jean Jaurès' town, with nice place and his museum to visit. Market every Saturday morning.
Albi, its cathedral classified “UNESCO World Heritage site” and its “Toulouse Lautrec” museum. Great French gardens. Enjoy a meal at the splendid covered market, and walk around in typical streets to discover terrific architecture…
Lautrec, a superb medieval village and its famous “pink garlic”. Difficult to choice restaurants… so many excellent one overthere !
Mazamet, to visit the medieval village of Hautpoul and cross its vertiginous 70m high, 140m long footbridge ! And maybe take a ride to her crazy Via Ferrata…
Lacaune, for the Oberti Salaison factory and museum visit or enjoy his casino. Go to discover one of the highest “menhir statue” in Europe ! (nice menhir museum, at Murat-sur-Vèbre, 20km more)
